Our clients normally use our services to communicate with potential clients or investors. When a corporation has a presence all round the world, though, it can also be crucial to communicate with their staff, and it was the Employee Portal campaign that Millicom appointed Creative Solutions to undertake.​​

Been there, done it, delivered the Millicom T-Shirt

 

Millicom was one of the first companies to pioneer mass consumer mobile telephony, back in 1990. During its history, it’s been associated with major brands such as Vodafone and Orange, but its biggest markets are in Africa and Latin America, in particular with its Tigo brand. It’s now expanded into markets such as cable, satellite, broadband, e-commerce, Mobile Financial Services and B2B. It has branches all over the world, with corporate offices in London, Miami and Luxembourg.

 

With such a far-flung workforce, it’s essential to make sure everyone’s following the best procedures and making use of what the organisation provides for them. In Millicom’s case, this includes a dedicated online information portal for knowledge, media and learning sharing.

Employee Portal campaign

 

What they wanted from us was a unifying campaign using EP online to create a series of branded materials aimed at reminding staff both of the portal’s existence and of the importance of using it. We created a variety of material, such as branded pens, mugs, T-shirts, post-it notes and branded pin-badges.

 

It was a major operation to design, source and print all this, but Creative Solutions pulled all the stops out and got it done within six working days, from design to delivery. Once the materials were distributed around Millicom’s various global HQs, none of their staff could claim not to know about their online information portal. They couldn’t miss the fact.We’ve worked with Millicom before, and they’ve always expressed their delight at the results. They were delighted with this project, too — as, we’re sure, are employees all round the world who are writing with the pens, wearing the T-Shirts and drinking from the mugs – and remembering the online portal as they do so.
