Creative Review: Getting on by getting onlineWe don’t hand in either our need or ability to learn when we walk out of school or college for the last time. Getting a job is a whole new chapter in our education — and an employer who doesn’t recognise the need of their workers to continue learning is not going to get the best out of them.

 

Smart Training is an expert in providing vocational training in a wide range of industries and offers Apprenticeships and Traineeships at every level from starters to top flight managers which learners can use to boost their careers with the help of Government funding.

 

Never-ending learning 

 

This is an ideology we can really get behind at Creative Solutions. As a company using cutting-edge technology and design concepts we never stand still. Whether our development comes from formal training of the kind Smart Training offers or from trial and error on the job, it’s vital that we’re constantly learning.

 

So we’ve been delighted and honoured to have been working closely with Smart Training since November 2010. Since then we’ve designed campaigns to spearhead their marketing, creating emails and surveys that have gone out to more than 184,000 people.

Emails you’re going to open 

 

In the past seven years, we’ve run campaigns to send eye-catching emails, typically to between 1,300 and 3,000 recipients. We also put just as much care into small, targeted campaigns such as the one that went to just 80 meticulously selected individuals in the childcare industry. 

 

Campaigns have included surveys for OFSTED and the Education and Skills Funding Agency but we’ve also designed personalised email campaigns. These have succeeded in building up a database of nurseries with training needs that Smart Training could fulfil. 

 

“Creative Solutions’ campaigns have helped us to build our business and reach out to a targeted audience in a way that achieves results and helps us in our quest to deliver top quality training to those looking to further their careers,” said Managing Director Kate Stock.

 Overall, the response rates we achieve for Smart Training’s campaigns range from 16% to 56%. It’s estimated that, on average, only 2% of people bother to look at a printed material campaign but our emails have a massive 69% open rate.

 

 All of which is great for Smart Training and, just as importantly, for all those workers who’ve found out they still need to continue their education long after they’ve left school.
